Baffled by abbreviations

Hi everyone, I’ve only joined this site a couple of weeks ago and want to say how encouraging I’ve found reading all the posts and advice. However, I’d like to ask if there is a glossary of technical terms somewhere, as so many people describe their conditions using initials or acronyms. I’m new to all this as, like everyone I suppose, I didn’t expect to suddenly have heart problems and find myself in this situation, and it is a really steep learning curve!

Perhaps we should all be reminded to write out the term in full followed by the abbreviation.

Also just ask the poster to explain what they mean.
