Texts about our Covid vaccinations

My wife and I each 86 had texts from our doctors surgery in Eastbourne yesterday telling us that we would soon be getting dates for our vaccinations. They are not being done at the surgery but somewhere at the Beacon Shopping centre. Presumably that must apply to other surgeries in the area.

Where I live the local surgery network are using the local sports centre, most PCN’s are doing similar afaik.

Our practice has a message advising patients that appointments are not bookable via the practice, but they will be contacted by the vaccination team when required.

As Eastbourne is known as God's waiting room there will be large numbers

I would think that is the reason. Strangely nothing in the local press about it.
