i was sat watching some TV and got some random tightness in my chest, in the middle between my breasts. didn't spread anywhere, little to no pain, could breathe fine, etc
I had just eaten a light snack and was reclined a bit so maybe acid or muscles? got curious and googled a bit and all I got was heart attack and angina, but don't think it's either. I just got my heart checked a couple months ago and everything was perfect. just wanted to ask in case anyone thought this was serious as I've never had this before xx appreciate everyone's answers!

Hi,Just come out of hospital with a stent fitted after a heart attack. The key message that I got from the Cardiac ward was that there are so many different symptoms for a heart attack that my advice is go and get checked out.
My symptoms was tightness in the middle of the chest,no pain radiating anywhere else..yet I had 1 artery fully blocked,1 artery narrowing and a clot in the heart.
it's been two days and i've been fine! i contacted my doc and haven't heard back yet so we'll see what they think xx
Hello
They do say especially in women that heart attacks go unnoticed we can have pains but put it down to different things like indigestion
It is true what Heart1704 said that we don't always get the same symptoms and certainly not how they portray it of TV in drama's etc
I had a heart attack 9 weeks ago and I was not sure , I left it all day till I decided to go to A&E and it is a good job I did as I had a heart attack and they also said that somewhere in the past I had a mild one previous that I had either not realised or because it was mild I dismissed it , had I dismissed this one I am not sure what would have happened
So my advise would be get checked out , you have nothing to loose , if it turns out to be nothing that is great but if something is amiss they can treat you , either way you win
Hope you will get checked out and let us know how you get on x
Get it checked. I ignored chest tightness and ended up ambulanced to hospital the next morning. It is probably nothing too serious, but if there is a problem, the sooner it is treated the better. And if as is likely it isn't serious you can stop worrying.
Actually her pain had been caused by a duodenal ulcer. The paramedic had said that her pain sounded like when he had an ulcer and I agreed that it was the same as I had when I had one.She went to her GP four days later. He poked her stomach and she yelped and he said duodenal ulcer
When she got home she phoned her brother in Kent and was told that he and her nephew were in hospital after what had looked a really bad bad car accident (two cars and a tractor coming out of a country lane) and both had chest injuries. Perhaps that accounted for some of her pain.
