I am experiencing side effects on one or more of my meds, GP has advised taking all of them at night to try and sleep off the worst of it. Does anyone have experience of trying this and what did you think? He is very reluctant to change any of them at this early stage after HA.
I am on. Clipodigrel, eperonone, rampiril, rivaroxiban, atarvostatin. Lansoprazole.
Apologies on spelling 🤦🏻♂️

My husband tried his at night but couldn’t sleep for going to toilet. He now takes them immediately after breakfast and has got used to them. Granted he only takes a statin and blood pressure medication.
Eplerenone is a diuretic so best taken in the morning. Lansoprazole is a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) to protect the stomach so best taken before breakfast. If you are on 75mg Asprin the best time to take this is after breakfast. Let us know how it goes.
I can’t speak for most of your meds but I take Rivaroxaban and this must be taken with a main meal, so taking that before bed with no food would not be an option. I also take Bisoprolol which I do take before bed as this seems to work for me.
With so many meds it’s hard to say which are causing side effects, a bit of experimentation with timings might pay off. Maybe don’t take all of them at the same time?
wouldnt wish lanzoprosol on my worst enemy, anyone on here will know how i suffered for 8 weeks taking this dreadful stuff. ihad diarrhea so badly i went 358 times in 8 weeks dont laugh yes i did count , it was so bad i had to wear incontinence pads , in the end my doc sent me to have a ct scan and did a tummy exam and a fit test , all was fine , i thought it was the lanzoprosol as on days i missed it the next day it would be better, icame off it totally 2 weeks ago and back to normal now, 1 and a half stone lighter so it had its upsides. i would never take it again. 3 times at night as well and awful tummy pain and the most disgusting wind, mmm lovely, good luck
Sounds familiar. Similarly I experience side effects with my meds. I find Statins are the worst but you are on a couple I am not familiar with ep/ri so can’t comment on those. I am familiar with the rest... I tend to read each Med leaflet Including small print to understand side effects and do my research on how best/when to take them to mitigate side effects. Taking them before bed has been one strategy but not massively effective for me disrupting my sleep... so always a trade off. I’ve also resorted to splitting my Statin tablet in half and taking half at tea time and half at bedtime which I think has helped me a little... all said I would caveat always consult with your Doc to make sure they are OK with how you are taking meds. Hope that helps.
