I'm new here and just had a pacemaker generator replacement

Hi, I had my pacemaker generator replaced but can't remember what I was told to do afterwards. Blame the sedation! How long do you keep the compression socks on? And what about getting the wound wet? I've had a pulmonary embolism in the past and have SVT. I'm not getting a follow-up appointment because of Covid, only a remote reading in 2 weeks and I'm feeling a bit alone. Good to know there's a place like this to go to.

I would guess same rules apply as when first fitted, keep it dry, no lifting arm above shoulder height or heavy lifting, strange they didn't give you any paperwork or a number to call if you had any problems. I wasn't given compression stocking so can't help with that one.

Thank you for that. I have a number but it says emergency and I didn't really think it was one.

You could call your pacing clinic, the technicians should be able to answer your questions or if not find out for you. Hope everything goes well for you.

This may help
