Update...After yet another visit to A&E last week where Colchicine was increased to x3 daily ive finally got my post-op review this morning , it’s now 9 weeks since i had bypass surgery, i can’t wait to find out the plan of action from the cardiologist because as of yet the Colchicine has still failed to treat the Dresslers despite also being on Naproxen, ive now had enough of the horrific pain it causes, ive been having 6-7 episodes every day & night, it’s like having 6-7 heart attacks everyday for the last 7 weeks.

I'm glad to read the update but wish the Colchicine was working for you. Have they thought about any of the alternatives to it (aspirin, corticosteroids)? You've been on the Colchicine long enough for it to either have kicked in or proved not working, they may decide to take you off it and go with 'just' aspirin.

Can you tolerate aspirin? My dose is very high (300mg once a day+another 600mg if needed) and I tolerate it very, very well - but not everyone does.

Have you tried a hot water bottle against the left side between breast and back?

Not what you're looking for?
