Following stenting in february this year i have been prescibed Ticagrelor 90mg for one year, followed by ticagrelor 60mg for life. Is this normal ?

Normally the majority of people are put on Ticagrelor for 12 months, but it can be prescribed at 60mg for up to 3 years as per the NHS page, see link below.
If I was you, I'd query this with the GP.
It may depend on what other medication you are on. GP would review after 12 months. But would be worth a chat to check the reasoning

I would check this with cardiologist and/or cardiac team first to get a full explanation about this decision, as it is likely that they are the ones that have decided this, not your GP. Your GP will not go against their recommendation, so if you want to challenge/change this decision, then you have to start with your cardiac support teams first.
How many stents , their location , length , type ,heart condition among many other things , dictates your risk for blood clots or restinoses and based on those risks ur doctor decides the length of your DAPT or single antiplatelet therapy.
