I recently had my second heart attack, after 10 years. I was originally on clopidogrel , but I have now been changed to Ticagrelor. I have noticed that one of the side effects is breathlessness at rest. I am having trouble walking, I get so out of breath I have to stop. I never had this problem before my heart attack , so is this the TIcagrelor ? Will it improve with time ? .

Ticagrelor side effects
Hi Tindy. I have been on Ticagrelor since my heart attack in February 2019. I found both Atorvastatin and Bisoprolol caused my breathlessness so was taken off statins and changed from Bisoprolol to Ivabradine.
Hello Tindy2
Welcome to the forum.
Yes, shortness of breath at rest is one of the known side effects, normally in the first few weeks of starting of taking it, link to NHS page on ticagrelor below:-
hi tindy. i too suffered bad breathlessness whilst on ticagular. rehab nurse changed it right away when i told her. she said it was the ticagular and changed me to clopidrogel. never had any more trouble. good luck❤️
I was on clopidogrel for 10 years with no problems. The hospital consultant changed it , after my 2nd heart attack he said clopidogrel wasn’t working well enough for me. If the breathlessness doesn’t improve I may have to ask to go back on it . Thanks for your reply
