No appointments for annual Echo

Morning

I have leaky heart valves and have an annual echo it should have been in May but they are saying all running late and no sign of any appointment yet due to Covid 19, I’m worried as not getting the monitoring. I also suffer from health related anxiety all day and now finding it hard to even leave my home 😊❤️ Anyone else having delays, I cannot find anything that helps the anxiety feel like I’ve tried everything 😪

I know it can make us very anxious waiting for them to check on us. If you have any extra symptoms phone your cardiologist secretary or even your GP and maybe they can move you up the list that are waiting. My echocardiogram is to check my pig valve is still working at the right pressure I had it replaced 4 years ago. I just keep thinking I feel good so hopefully the valve is working well.😉

Best wishes Pauline

Thank you Pauline ❤️

The health anxiety is there all the time 😊

Yes I called cardiologist secretary she suggested calling cardiac investigations unit direct, it was then that said I am on the list but no sign of any appointments anytime soon, I suppose just have to wait like everyone else 😊glad your feeling fine, did you have a pig valve rather than mechanical due to your age being young etc, amazing what they can do ❤️

I was 68 when had my surgery. I went with what my surgeon recommended, hopefully I will get between 10-15 years and he said there are new valves and new ways of operating coming along so went with the tissue valve. So fingers crossed it lasts to the maximum 😉
