There is only one Lezzers.!In fact if there were two I am unsure how to form the plural? Would it be Lesseres or Lesserai? And as for the plural possessive my head hurts!

😂 😂 Fortunately??? There is only one me! 😂

Hi, tried to buy on line for daughter-in-law but it’s not available as yet, thought it would be a nice gift as it could be delivered straight to her, and doesn’t seem likely that we will be seeing family over Christmas 😩 Hope it maybe becomes available. She loves a gin and tonic👌

Lezzers profile image
Lezzers in reply to080311

Im surprised its not on line yet, particularly as the Christmas food catalogue is out. And yes it would make a very nice Christmas present

080311 in reply toLezzers

Yes thought so too, I live in Scotland they are on the south coast so getting it delivered is a great way to go for us.

When we were in lockdown trying to avoid supermarkets & struggling to get shopping slots we ordered their fruit baskets a couple of times. Wasnt cheap but was very worth it, i would certainly recommend thinking of something like that if you can't get the gin! Not quite the same though! 😂

She is into healthy eating so fruit basket sounds good though she does like a gin😂 son does too come to that 😂 Have ordered the Cheese hamper for him thought the gin would go well but if they are not doing it on line will have to think again but your suggestion of the fruit basket sounds great. Thank you.

They'll have you on camera doing that, and be wondering if it's some sort of distraction tactic! 😀

Lezzers profile image
Lezzers in reply toSpiritoftheFloyd

Hadn't thought of that! Could've been a bit dodgy as Kevin's icd used to set off the store alarm everytime we went in there! 😱

Lezzers profile image
Lezzers

No idea how much the gin costs. Try not to look at the price, I'm guessing it won't be cheap! 😂 And im not totally sure setting off the alarm in a store is a good reason to avoid having an ICD! 🤔 😂

Thanksnhs profile image
Thanksnhs in reply toLezzers

It's definitely not, but it is worth setting off the store alarm for a nice gin 🍸char 😋

Alison_L profile image
Alison_L in reply toLezzers

My ICD has never set off the M&S (or any other store) alarm. How do I get it to do that? :)

Lezzers profile image
Lezzers in reply toAlison_L

Just walk through the doors! This waa mentioned on another site & it seems it was nearly always m&s stores. It doesn't seem to happen now so maybe the security level has been changed?

Alison_L profile image
Alison_L in reply toLezzers

Hm, I'll have to loiter a bit in the doorway next time I go in.

Lezzers profile image
Lezzers in reply toAlison_L

That's what i usually do after I've had a gin! 😉

Alison_L profile image
Alison_L in reply toLezzers

LOL. I don't drink... perhaps I need to start again :)

£18 for the gin🙂

SpiritoftheFloyd profile image
SpiritoftheFloyd

£18 for 70cl, and I agree with Lezzers - setting off alarm is not a good reason for not having an ICD - just think of the fun you can have with store security!

Looks Great Fun, but is it an essential purchase? Saw on the news last night sanitary products are no deemed an essential purchase in a Tesco store. The world has gone MAD, the men in white coats are coming for us all.

Milkfairy profile image

Good sense prevailed. The Welsh Health minister made a statement saying that Tesco had been over zealous in ther interpretation of the guidelines.

Tesco has apologised to the woman concerned.

Milkfairy, It worries me that there wasn’t good sense applied in the first place.

I agree there is alot of confusion, misinformation and lack of knowledge about the coronavirus.

I was told by my cardiologist not to drink alcohol as it affects the heart rate. I didn't drink too much anyway. , but there have been times this summer in the hot weather that l have longed for a pint, or a pimms and lemonade. Have l been going without for no reason?

Lezzers profile image
Lezzers in reply toDollcollector

If your cardiologist says its a no no to alcohol then it probably is a no no! Always worth asking about the very very occasional pint though.

Dollcollector profile image
Dollcollector in reply toLezzers

Thanks for your reply. I thought it was the same for everyone with A.F. and the consequences of having A.F. I am frightened to drink now and yet everybody else on this forum seems to drink. I must add that l was only a social drinker..

In my youth, a lezzer was a lesbian. Is that what this means?

Sunnie2day profile image
Sunnie2day in reply toBritTania

No. In this lady's case it is a play on her given name.

Popped into my local M&S on Saturday, but they'd sold out of both flavours. Lady on till told me they're re-stocking on 1st November. Now, how odd would it look if I showed up at 11am to buy a bottle (I work 12 - 4)? She said they're selling fast, so I don't want to miss out.

Sunnie2day profile image
Sunnie2day in reply toDelilahh74

M&S likes to under-stock to create 'interest'. They did that with the pink coat and I still haven't forgiven them that error!

If you want a bottle, be there at 1030hrs and if they say it's not been brought from the back, ask someone to go fetch you one so you're not late for work. (And try not to growl at the clerk the way I would, still smarting after the pink coat thing!)

Prada47 profile image

I will get my Sister in Law a bottle but not sure Rhubarb or Clementine, what the Hell it's for Xmas so going to get them both. Don't think I will suggest it would mix well with Prosecco she can be a problem on Gin alone

Lesley what would you recommend Rhubarb or Clementine All my life I worked on the basis "What is an Expert " someone who knows when it's time to call an Expert So over to you Lesley.
