Whilst I have posted about my recent amputation due to complications as a result of PAD (peripheral arterial disease) here I am now getting issues that are outside the scope of a heart and circulation forum. Healthunlocked do not seem to have a forum for amputees and those supporting them. Before requesting HU to start one up I was wondering how many amputees and/or those that support them there were on this forum who would be interested in such a forum?

Whilst I don't feature in either of the two groups you mention, it seems like a very sensible idea Michael.

Good link, I got a little distracted reading all the threads, took me over an hour to get back here to the heart forum:)

I thought I was unlucky this story makes me feel lucky. When I signed the consent form for my amputation I was told I was 48 hours from developing sepsis! One of my best friends died of it eight years ago when it wasn't really on the radar. He collapsed and was taken to hospital. Two days later they diagnosed with sepsis - he died six hours later!
