Many of you will have heard the news that the Queen is under "medical supervision" at Balmoral. I am sure that this is an understatement as her children are travelling to Balmoral.

I am sure everyone here sends their thoughts and prayers to her and her family.

Very very sad.

Hello :-)

I love the Queen :-)

I know she has mobility issues now and has been advised to really cut back on her engagements but so sad that things seem to have got worse

I saw a lovely picture of her welcoming the new PM and she looked lovely she as always had her handbag on her arm and a big smile on her face

I think since she lost her beloved Husband Prince Philip personally I have seen a rapid decline in her which is so sad to see

Things will never be the same when she is no longer our Queen :-) x

Very sad. I think it is very concerning as all the family are travelling to Balmoral.

She has been a credit to this Country!

I am a Royalist but I believe things won't be the same with Charles as King.

If anyone wanted a physical representation of the word 'DUTY' then she represents just that.

I am going to mention the elephant in the room and wonder if Harry will take some time to see her, he is at a crossroads I really hope he takes the right path.

I wonder if Britain will ever have a more committed and dedicated Monarch as she has been.

Edited to add that I have read Harry and Meghan are also travelling to Scotland. It does sound serious!

Thank you MichaelJH, an incredibly sad time for our country. We will never, in my opinion see a Monarch, that we have been so fortunate to live through, during her reign, again. 🙏

my heart is broken, I’ve been in tears most of the day over this news . I’m no loyalist I simply love our queen

People of my generation have only known her as head of state. She as done her duty for 70 years this country as been very lucky to have her.

My heart goes out to her family after all she is also a Mother Grandmother and Great Grandmother. When I read that William was flying up here my thoughts went to my son Paul, in May he had to get a flight quickly to get to his Dad up here. He had that flight to think what if I don’t make it in time. My thoughts and prayers go to her family.

Such terribly sad news. Thoughts are with King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family.

I am heartbroken! I am a few weeks short of 65 years old and she is all I have ever known.

Things will not be the same again.

Even to the end she managed to do her duty and welcome a new PM and asked her to form a Government.

I am sat here with tears rolling down my face, I didn't think I would feel as emotional as I do.

I find it hard to say God Save the King but we will have to get used to it!

very sad day for us all in this country. I am going to have to try and except the movement of time but queen Elizabeth made Great Britain great and she will be missed considerably.

I feel I’ve lost the one constant in my life. She’s been there all of my 71 years. I lost my parents and both sets of grandparents. I’m sad but she’s with her Phillip now and at peace. God save The King.

I hope that we will give Charles and his queen consort a chance. With Camilla at his side, im sure he will be the best he can be. I also hope now that Harry and William will be reconciled.

There will never be another Monarch like our Queen and i thank her for her many years of service to this country and indeed the Commonwealth.

Reuntited with Philip. Thank you Ma'am.

we’ll said Michael. A sad time for her family and her wider family-all of us. As always it was hardly unexpected but still deeply upsetting. A wonderful woman. past the winning post in first place! Jane.

It was noticeable that all the news readers were dressed much more sombrely than usual before the passing of our Queen. It had to happen, as it happens to us all, but so suddenly! She is a great loss to the world and to her family.

It was obvious when he family were called in, what was likely to happen. I'm broken hearted. I watched her COronation as a 5 year old- the entire street crowded into the only house that had a 9 inch B/W TV. I will never forget it. I pray she's back with her beloved Phillip.

such a desperately sad time for us all, our dear monarch is at last with her beloved Phillip never to be forgotten. I am proud to have served her in my capacity as a female soldier for 7 years. RIP Ma’am ♥️ 🇬🇧

Her Majesty was the second monarch in my lifetime, and a shining example of duty, faith and grace. King Charles III will be a different sovereign in many ways, he will bring his own qualities to this role. I am sure, given that his mother prepared him for this duty, he will do his best, and that is all we can ask for.
