Tablets in Food

The other day someone told me they sometimes put their tablets in food such as mash. As we often do it with our pets I thought I would give it a try (photo attached).

OK after a jokey introduction it can be a technique for older people and those with swallowing difficulties. Here's an article about it but please read the whole way through in particular noting the tablets you should not break up or crush.

P.S. It was low sugar ice cream!

Morning 😃

Wondering if you’re going to improve or not on your pill arrangement today 🤭

Two Paracetamol limit your artistic freedom. My morning selection is better as it contains white, pink and brown but I need a decent base for my installation! Options are limited here in rehab! 🤣🤣🤣

Tate Modern here I come! 😁 behind the 😷

Oh no!!!! I was really hoping for a work of art, maybe more ice cream with the paracetamol in a different position, maybe I could send my son he’s a structural and civil engineer 🤭🤭🤭

Because of social distancing he would have to act in an advisory role! 🤣🤣🤣

He could do a step by step medication guide to structural designs in ice cream toppings 🤭🤭

If a certain lass can win the Turner with an unmade bed, I'd be shocked if your ice cream creations don't!

That’s really good, I think there’s one with a light going on and off as well isn’t there, 🤭🤭

Oh Michael’s ice cream is definitely in the running 😆

Presentation is a large part of food preparation, sorry you only got 2 out of 10.

Like your alias. A friend tells me that he never buys green bananas! It is obviously being so cheerful that keeps you going.

Oooh low sugar ice cream 🍦. I remember a friend of mine ordering something similar in a restaurant once. Needless to say he managed with the only one they had 😋

I’ll believe you!

Interesting article - fascinating list of letters - checked through mine & Im ok. I do actually love the taste of asprin and enjoy a good crunch when I take them!

That's what the analysis on the little tub said! 😀

Funnily enough I always used to eat aspirin rather than swallow them as I liked the taste. No longer though, can now only take paracetamol because of Warfarin and other meds.😟

Seriously though - take tablets with yoghurt & they soon slip down easily . When I had oesphagitis after my ablation & had to have all food pureed, the hospital always served my tablets with a yoghurt so they slid down.

For ages now I have taken pills with food. Just chew food till small and then take the tablet with it. Works wonders then follow up with a drink afterwards. Much easier esp if the tablets are large. I Never break up the tablets first.

I've never been able to swallow pills on their own and now find myself on ten a day. Everything goes down with a mouthful of food!
