Hi and good morning everyone, thank you all so much for your support, I got another gp yesterday who has no problem with the type of meds I have to take, the receptionist was just as shocked as the rest of us when I explained what was happening, they are next door, in the same building as my current one, plenty of parking, she kindly done the registration over the phone and as I am at the clinic on Tuesday I can get the jubilee to send everything they need, and get my much needed prescription, I am glad this is organised but still wish I hadn't had the hassle to rearrange everything, I hope it all goes smoothly, thanks once again for all your support, once I feel strong enough I will look into a complaint char ❤️
New gp: Hi and good morning everyone... - British Heart Fou...
New gp
Excellent news, thank-you for the update - and please keep us posted on how things go on with the new GP!
That is the best news, you must be so relieved, can’t believe they are next door! I have been so concerned for you. As you say getting all your records transferred should be ok and having a clinic appointment at the Jubilee on Tuesday repeat prescription should be fine.
Once you are feeling stronger I would certainly look into making a complaint, you really didn’t need this after going through such a traumatic time.
Hope you have a more relaxing weekend now you have got sorted. I feel like doing a jig for you😂
Sending you best wishes Pauline xx
Thank you, I just hope everything goes over smoothly, I know the hospital will never let me run out of meds, it was just such a shock to be told they wouldn't prescribe! It never crossed my mind that they could do that, char
Like you I live in Scotland, an hour away from the Jubilee where I had my op. Before going to the Jubilee I was in my local hospital for 7 weeks to get me fit enough for the surgery, my GP was and continues to be amazing, so when I read your post I was so shocked that they could do something so awful.
As I said before have a relaxing weekend

Gosh what a horrible experience 😢😡 I think you need to contact your local MSP too ... this is just unacceptable.
Glad you have found a GP. Who will prescribe the medication you require.
When one thinks of the cost of your operation in the golden jubilee & then not to prescribe the right medication to make it all work is absolutely shocking. GP should be held accountable for his lack of support.
Glad it is sorted now. Please please take care.
Delighted to hear that.
Best wishes for a stress-free recovery from here on.
Ellie
I don't know how they could have done this to you. As soon as you feel up to it, log a complaint and if you feel the need to have a rant, this is the place to do it!!!
Keep us posted and take care xxxx
