Hi just an update re transplant, I got home yesterday three weeks three days post transplant, so good to be back in my own house, bed although it is very quiet after seven weeks in hospital, I can't thank every single person that looked after me in the golden jubilee, clydebank, they were amazing and so encouraging which definitely helped my speedy recovery char

I've been following your transplant journey since your first post here on the site, how wonderful to read you're home and doing well with your new heart!

Wow! that was a busy 4 weeks from being moved up the list, to transplant and back home. That's probably the best way to do it - doesn't give you time to think to deeply about it all. Hope your recovery progresses at the same pace. Keep well.

Congratulations!! That's fabulous news.

Aren't we lucky to live in a country where we can be so well looked after without the financial worries about our care that those in some other countries have. Thank you NHS!

Yes, it will be a different road ahead, but totally worth it. I always say whatever happens now, it beats the hell out of the alternative (ie, not being around anymore!).

Very best wishes - keep up the good work! xx

Thank you, it's a different journey now, but looking forward to the day when I can just be able to plan things without wondering if I will be well enough to go, I know it will take time and It still feels unreal, the NHS are amazing for so many things and as you say no worries about having to hope you can pay for it, I dread to think what a transplant would cost, char ❤️
