Has anyone been successful securing Life and Critical Illness Cover when you have a heart condition?

Hi all,

I was diagnosed with Long QT in 2007 but in recent weeks this diagnosis looks to be amended to Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (CPVT).

We bought our first home in 2018 but I have had a lot of trouble finding any type of cover other than Accidental.

While I have looked at the two companies on the BHF website, I wondered if there was anyone on here that has been successful at this who could provide any further advice or tips for success?

Thanks for your time reading my first post!

Becky

Hi. I’m on this group as I’m about to have a pacemaker fitted. I’m also an independent insurance advisor. My initial thoughts are possibly for Life cover but very unlikely for Critical Illness cover. However, this has focussed my mind! So, I’ll research it and let you know. It will take me a couple of weeks due to my current workload
