I was discharged from the Cardiac Team in late February and I was able to have a Gall Bladder operation in March just as the pandemic got a grip, since then I have heard nothing from anybody. I can't see or ring my doctor about it (urgent phone consultations only). I feel left in the lurch, don't know if I will need any further treatment or not. I just keep collecting my tablets every month. I hope you get to see someone soon. Good luck Take care.
Yes, we’re all in the same boat. Rehab centre closed, all staff redeployed, GP inaccessible.
With the help of the BHF website, their YouTube videos, taking charge of my own health I’ve buggered through.
I had my first review yesterday at the cardiac centre. HA & stents way back in February. During that time I’ve ratcheted up my exercise, lots of walking, lost weight, got to grips with the diabetes that was diagnosed whilst in the CCU.
A tweak to one of my meds but otherwise as fit as a butcher’s dog.
Hopefully services are starting to return. Make sure you contact your cardiac unit, which is what I did & can’t help feeling that’s why they called me in.
I did not have a HA, but in April was taken into hospital by ambulance due to a rapid heart rate, and feeling like I was about to pass out. I was diagnosed with Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy. I have AF and HF . Apart from one visit from the HF nurse and 3 calls from cardiac rehab team, I have had no contact with anyone. I feel that am in limbo too. I have asked for a telephone consultation with my GP, I hope to speak to her on Wednesday. For me, this website and Pumping Marvellous have been my lifeline. I hope that you manage to speak to someone soon. Best wishes Marianne.
