Hi all after some advice as a bit confused !?! On my previous posts u can see my history HA then stented and so on
So in March after around the first six months on all the tablets and statins my lipids tests came right down which I felt really good about eating excercising ,, so fast forward to last Thursday may I have a appointment with a metabolist this week coming so had a check up lipids test ... received a txt from nhs today saying abnormal contact doctor ... I’ve looked and all my lipids have risen slightly
Total from 4.8 to 5.7
HDL from 1.0 to 1.4
LDL from 2.5. Down to 2.4
And tryglicrides 2.2 to 4.2
Cholesterol/ hdl rstio 4.1
I feel so deflated and worried as I thought I’ve been doing so well eating right excercising back in a physical job now and have put a few pounds back on but surely muscular as I’ve got stronger and fitter .... any advice or help would be great guys you all seem to be there when we need a little nudge and help 👌

The only result of issue are the triglycerides which push up your Total Cholesterol.
Things that can help are:
Limit total carbs to around 120gms per day. These should be complex carbs and not sugars.
Avoid trans-fats
Eat oily fish about three times a week
Increase your intake of monosaturates and reduce saturated fats.
I rarely have a fasting blood test because of Type 1 diabetes. The results never vary much but it seems to affect triglycerides most. A repeat test with fasting may be appropriate.
