Hi all, I haven't posted for a while, I've been so busy in lockdown the jobs just never end! And don't you find that the days go far too quickly.

I am working from home I would be supporting people in the community to live independently at home after discharge from hospital but because of my medical history I am working from home doing paperwork and how I love the thrill of online training 😳.

So I was medically treated with Ticagrelor in August last year, following my second heart attack, as was previously only taking baby aspirin. Now I knew that I would look like a panda with bruises everywhere. And I bleed even with an insect bite, but I am finding that when I blow my nose (hay fever) I bleed not excessively but with some clots but not continuously. My husband now alerts me to the blood sitting inside my nostrils... I know yuk. I have a steroid nasal spray for my allergies but stopped using that a week ago because I thought that may be damaging the vessels.

Does anyone else suffer with this as taking blood thinners especially Ticagrelor?

Picture of my little garden that brings me loads of joy..

Hope that you are keeping safe and staying in a bubble ❤️

Yes I am on ticagrelor 90mg x 2 and my gums bleed constantly especially when sleeping. Had my teeth checked prior to the lockdown and everything ok. Looking forward to September when hopefully can stop medication

Can't comment on your medication issue (have you spoken with the medics or chemist?) but WOW are your gardens stunning!

I stopped taking Ticagrelor last December, didn't have nose bleeds, but was covered in bruises all the time, the majority of which I had no idea how they occurred. I felt like having a sign around my neck saying "on blood thinners", I looked such a state. Stick with it, it will soon be August!

Love your garden 😎

Yes, I have allergies this time of year (I live in the US), and frequently will notice the same thing when I blow my nose. It really scared me at first until I realized the cause.

Yes l am on blood thinner was on Warfarin. But just recently put on Lixiana by g.p. Suspect was so that l didn’t have to go for Inr tests in the current situation ,when on Warfarin l occasionally got a bruise on my thigh I had probably bumped into something so far no bruises with the new one , no regular blood tests needed with Lixiana but no bleeding with either . so l would discuss the bleeding with your doctor
