Posy HA 16 mths andI finally managed to get my Cardiologist and GP to agree I can stop taking Ticagrelor...such good news and 2 less tablets a day to rememberšonly then to find out they have conspired and said I need to double my ramipril as I am still on the starting dose of 1.25, they want to get it to 5mg I think....I am now scared I will develop that dreaded cough but my GP said the dose is not a relevant factor in whether you get the cough or not.

Hi
Really good to have a GP who understands what he/she is doing . I would trust my GP with my Life and her comments are the same as your GPs it's not the dose size that causes the cough.
If you had the cough you would probably be switched to Candesartan, which I believe is an alternative to Ramipril.

Thanks so Prada47, I have read so many posts about Ramipril that upping my dose is just so scary
