The Nightingale Hospital is being open by Prince Charles today. It is a fantastic effort by both the military and civilian teams!

Just hope they have the staff, PPE, ventilators and oxygen.

Incredible achievement so far though.

I imagine Matt Hancock has been advised that he's had the virus so is now immune .... (maybe he's also been a guinea pig for the new blood test).

Yes well done to all and to our government for actions. Just pray it is never used to it’s capacity

Well said. I'm glad it's been done and I'm glad to hear Scotland will soon have nearly the same capacity (the work on the Glasgow one has begun, I believe, but am happy to be corrected).

But I hope with all my heart all those beds go empty for lack of need.

I am just opening the virtual Pop Up Bar. It will be using an honesty box as I am tied up at the moment (MOH)!

Seriously though it is fantastic what has been achieved in such a short space of time. Will save many lives.

It is an amazing achievement.

They have also recruited the staff needed.

As a London resident I too hope that they don't need to use all 4000 beds.....

The Glasgow temporary hospital will first have 300 beds with plans to expand to 1000.

Birmingham's will have upto 5000 beds, Manchester 1000 beds.

Hopefully with the lockdown the spread of the virus will slow and these hospital beds will stay unfilled.

Stay safe stay well everyone 🙏

A friend could walk in but hopefully they will never see inside it!
