Mild Itching after starting Candersartan

Hi,

I just start on 8mg of Candesartan for high BP and it's caused some mild itching here and there, not really any rash. Should I push ahead and take it again tomorrow ? Made me pretty tired too and bit of a headache... I read that it might take a few days to get use to it ? I have had itching from other drugs ... I'm pretty sensitive to drugs.

too react badly to an awful lot of drugs. My GP greets me with "Hello trouble". Candesartan knocked me out totally. Do you have a BP monitor? Check it at least twice a day when you are resting at different times. You may find a different brand doesn't itch. WIth me it's usually a coluring or a preservative that causes reactions. Give it at least a couple of weeks ifyou can but speak to your GP.

Yeah I react to everything. But I've stopped taking this, apart from the itch I was feeling really nauseous and just terrible and ended up with a migraine today.

I have a BP machine ... my BP is always all over the place from 130s/80s to 160s over 100s. 150's over 90s today -- not tooo bad. I might just go back to Cannabis .. its drops my BP by 10 -20 points on both and makes me feel good, not bad.

Tell your doctor. What they changed me to after Candesartan caused fibrillaton really bad. It took months to calm down. Can't remember now what it was. I've had so many tablets changed but if your BP needs controlling you must contact your GP.
