This is the message being sent out by every mobile network on behalf of the government. Please, please follow the guidelines! A pensioner friend told me that in the pensioner supermarket hour family groups were turning up as if it was a bank holiday. Why do these people behave in such an idiotic fashion? ☹️

Because they live on a diet of PlayStation, Netflix and self-affirming FB click bait and the likes of the owner of Wetherspoons telling them it’s all ok. And many employers not paying people to do what they’re told. How the police are meant to know who lives with whom, who is buying necessities and who is out for their third walk, God knows. Police also have barely any PPE, ours have been told to NOT wear any unless they have reason to think the person has Corona. I am not joking.

Just heard on the radio group of lads started coughing over a couple of policemen, they haven’t a brain cell between them. There was also a story of a couple of pensioners yesterday out when again group of lads started coughing over them a guy stepped in to stop them and got beaten up. Police arrested them but what on earth is happening to this country. I despair, They simply have no respect and I am sorry but this is something that should have been taught at home when they were children. If any of them have a real cough and high temperature they would be running to the NHS.

I think so many people do have 'Social' learning difficulties and an arrogant gene. We hear so much in the press and TV about the difficulties that young people are having not being able to physically socialise with their friends but very little about the daily hardship and worries many older and vulnerable people are facing. I realise it is not a 'competition' I have empathy for all but do feel we still fail to prioritise the people needs. I am not thinking of myself here as I regard my vulnerability way down the list compared with many. On a positive note just had a flyer from my local community centre with a phone number if I needed help with shopping collecting a prescription etc.

I have to say that my learning disabled daughter would never behave like that! She understands about the need to keep her hands and her surroundings clean and has been a star! So proud of her. Unlike those selfish beasts - who have always been there, in every age through history but who shame us all. Sadly they make it more difficult for those who are vulnerable to obtain necessities. I notice that Waitrose are now employing 'marshalls', only allowing a certain number of people into shops, have painted lines on ground to enforce social distance...but have the queues remained orderly?

I imagine your daughter had you as a good role model and good parenting despite additional pressures something you can both be proud of.

I had a friend who received this earlier today and she wanted to know why her. Sorry but I couldn't help it as suggested:

She may be very important to them

Possibly may have been a reminder for her to have to pay extra taxes

Could be her husband had been evading paying his VAT bill

They had finally caught up with her for cooking the books

She went off pretty despondent but did ring me some 30 minutes later. Let's just say that without all the profanities she said nothing. Just as well I know she has a good sense of humour.

Follow the guidelines, be kind and considerate to others. These are the values we must live by in these dark days.Keep safe fellow hearties!💖

Yes I do agree with you happyjo that michael's post can be seen as discriminatory.

I think Michael's post was informative, but should have finished with something on the lines of

Why do some people behave "as if they don't care about anyone else"?

Thank you

I did not see MichaelJH's original comment that was apparently not PC. When I first joined he was extremely helpful and supportive to me so I am now in a better place health-wise. I cannot imagine he was being unkind but rather emphasising the seriousness of the situation. It is a worrying time but people need to avoid knee jerk reactions!

People are still not listening! I saw young people going around each others houses yesterday evening and just now two women chatting in the street inches rather meters apart and I know one is a carer!
