I have my yearly checkup appointment for my ICD on April 1st. I am wondering if it will go ahead. I am 74 and will have to use public transport taking over 2 hours to get to hospital.

Hello

I would phone the clinic and ask for advice. I have an Echocardiogram appointment next week and will phone them Monday if I haven't heard otherwise.

Regards

A friend of mine works in Cardiology department and she said it's business as usual but who knows what will be happening next week, I have a pacemaker check which I hope will go ahead !

As I'm in the high risk group my GP suggested I cancel non essential appointments but if in doubt contact the relevant department and ask whether they want you in. I would look at the risks involved in travelling too.
