If you’re living with a heart or circulatory disease, it’s particularly important that you reduce your risk of catching the virus by following all current government advice.
Please take a moment to review the information provided by the government, which is updated daily: gov.uk/government/topical-e....

The linked article suggests asking someone else to collect your heart medication. But what if that "someone else" is a spouse or partner and they too are struck down with the virus?
I'm unsure if this is official policy or not, but I've used the on-line medication ordering facility at my GP's (check your doctor's web site, I understand the great majority of GP's now offer something similar) to buildup a small inventory of my heart medication, and I now keep that inventory at or above about four weeks supply. This means that if I and my wife BOTH need to self isolate for a fortnight, then at least obtaining heart medication won't be an issue.
Thanks for raising this point. Yourself and your wife are doing the correct thing to order in if this is a concern for you. If an individual was unable to collect medication or find a suitable person to collect it for them, I would suggest that they contact their GP and/or pharmacy directly to facilitate a delivery of this.
I'll check the NHS page as youve suggested .I've got an appointment tomorrow with the Pain Management Doctor in Chepstow. I've been half expecting them to cancel it. But it's still ongoing. Also going in hospital shortly for an operation. Getting a bit concerned about everything now.
There is a lot of good advice here. But I need someone to advise me. I am supposed to be going to the Cheltenham Festival tomorrow, but I am very worried, the government advice says to carry on, but.
Thank you your right, we have decided not to go, my husband said I was probably more likely to have another heart attack with the worry about going . I feel so much better now,
What is the position with regard to taking low dose aspirin and ACE inhibitors (like Enalapril) - neither, apparently, are advisable if/when one catches Covid-19?
Hi I had AVR 3yrs ago this August, the only meds I now take relating to my heart is 20mg statin and 75mg aspirin daily. I didn’t realise that aspirin was also anti inflammatory and the advise not to take ibuprofen or any anti inflammatory regarding corona virus.
Should I continue or stop the aspirin for the time being.
