DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT A PDA , ITS A COGENTINAL HEART DEFECT , MY GRANDMA TOLD ME ABOUT 2 DAYS AGO WHEN I SEEN THIS SCAR ON MY RIB , BUT AFTER JUST CHECKING GOOGLE IT STATES THE SURGEONS HAVE TO STITCH THE PDA CLOSE OR TIE IT OFF HOW DOSENT THIS HURT RIGHT NOW ??? AND IF THE DOCTORS USED STICHES ARE THEY STILL INSIDE ME !??? THIS IS SCARY SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW SOMETHING , I HAD THIS WHEN I WAS ABOUT 5 MONTHS AND NOW IM 21 YEARS OLD NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BUT SINCE SHES TOLD ME I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO FUNCTION BUT ITS GIVING ME EXTREME ANXIETY .

You asked this a few days ago so why are you SHOUTING now? What did the BHF nurses say? Maybe you could make a GP appointment to discuss your worries.

Hi. If you’re worried then have a chat with your Doctor. But the fact that you only noticed you had this when you saw a scar is a really good sign. Sounds like they did a really good job in putting it right when you were a baby. The stitches they use inside are dissolving so they won’t cause you any problems. Once it’s fixed you’re good to go. But if this is causing you anxiety (which it obviously is) then do have a chat with your doctor or the BHF nurses (0300 330 3311).
