There are different types of lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, etc. to add variety to salad. What's depressing is the little bit of salad many places put on the side; some limp lettuce, a few halves of watery cherry tomatoes and a couple of cucumbers slices! ☹️
Hi
I try to follow BHF healthy eating plan
Try to eliminate Carbs as much as possible , red meat , sugar, processed foods and fats.
I can only have one slice of bread a day
Any more and I feel bloated and lethargic the next day .
Do sometimes go off the rails but I expect we all do at times ,
Have a look at the Mediterranean diet in the BHF website - this is what you should be following. Fruit and veg are good for Vitamin C that reduces irritation often a precursor to plaque formation. The link between Vitamin C and issues with blood vessels was established hundreds of years ago when they gave sailors Vitamin C to prevent scurvy.
