Tumeric
Turmeric is not recommended for use alongside many medications. You need to check with your GP.
The only extra vitamin I take is 1000mg SR Vitamin C to protect against inflammation often a precursor to plaque formation. But I discussed its use with one of my cardiologists.
I suspect you have been Googling again. Many sites that suggest Tumeric ignore interactions with other drugs. For instance taking it with Warfarin could result in a serious bleed!
I suggest the jury is out in this one. My GP says no - waste of time and money. Members of my football team swear by it. Nine months on from successful op (mitral valve) I am giving it a miss_Bubble wrap 😎⚽️🍷
I will ask nxt appointment because I have heard lot of benefits that too also with fresh garlic I do take my meds but also wondered if anyone takes anything natural to help
I cook with tumeric every day. Just sprinkle a little on your food. You don’t taste it, but I’ve never had any probs. Give it a go.
Bit irresponsible to say give it a go when majority suggest there may be interaction with mefs and to check with GP!
I suppose it’s ok to cook with it but not in capsule strength but I shall look into this because I heard it is good for arteries and lots of other illnesses
Go and see your GP, and ignore Google! As I said previously there are issues with various drugs including anticoagulants, blood thinners, NSAIDs, antacids...
Statins and Vitamin C reduce inflammation.
