Not in my experience, results always take ages for a person to review them, !!

Like HappyJo has said it depends on who carries out the scan. A technician is not really qualified to fully interpret the results. Hence your wait for a review. My first one was carried out by a cardiologist on a Saturday morning as they tried to catch up on the backlog. I got the results straight away that time.

There was a technician in doing the scan then a doctor looking at screen she did say another doctor would be looking at my results and another appointment would be made to see the doctor she was just making comments during and after the test

Seems slightly odd unless it was a student. When I was in hospital a few weeks back the consultant came to the bed with about six students! In early 2003 I broke my wrist. The technician would not comment despite the disconnect being visible to one and all.
