After over a year of experiencing skipped heart beats today I find out if these are nothing to worry about or if they’re something else. After many gp visits and being told to just ignore it it’ll be fine my cardiologist was on my side and believed it was best they gave me the 24hr Holter to catch them. Today I finally find out the nature of these. It’s been a ling journey but finally someone was willing to listen and help. Wish me luck xx
Today’s the day : After over a year of... - British Heart Fou...
Today’s the day
Good luck - when you know what it is get back to us.
Best wishes, hope they've found out what's going on.
All ectopic beats, all harmless and all to be ignored. I really needed them to see on a monitor what I was experiencing to cure my anxiety with it all and finally I have clarity. I can enjoy my wedding in July now 😊
Congratulations - for result and getting married! Now enjoy the run up.....
You probably need a monitor on for longer than 24 hours to catch the pattern of your ectopics. I was always told to ignore mine but when I had a 7 day monitor they finally sat up and took notice !
Sadly, not an unusual experience on the NHS or private.
It can get tedious after a while...
It was a change of Cardiologist that got me a diagnosis, first one I saw just dismissed everything as anxiety which I knew wasn't right ! I don't know why they bother doing 24 hr monitors because they rarely show the problem ! Only 2 week, 7 and 5 day monitoring has worked for me.
Pleased for you and congratulations for your wedding. Big hugs and lots of good wishes for your future. Zena xx
