I received a copy of a letter from my cardiologist to my gp yesterday, part of it says her heart rate is 76 therefore she is not beta blocked. Does anyone know what this means?

Hi Platypus6. We might need a bit more info. Why are you seeing your cardiologist and what meds are you on?
I have seen cardiologist for palpitations and dizziness, the meds I am on are 25 mg atenolol clopidogrel rosuvastatin 20 mg and pantoprazole., in the letter he says the Atenolol can be increased to 50 mg if palpitations continue.
He is arranging a heart monitor for a week don’t know when that will be.
He is saying that your heart rate shows your beta blocker is not working strongly - if it were your heart rate would be lower.
Hence the atenelol can be raised if necessary.
Hi
My cardiologist wrote " He may be a little over Beta Blocked " when my Heart Rate came down to 33 BPM and started to cause Heart Pauses. Bisoprolol was reduced to 7.5mg and it's been fine since.
