Treatment for heart failure?

I was diagnosed with Heart failure in August 2019-I'm 62,have Brittle asthma, have suffered 2 respiratory arrests/heart stopped in the past.Always had problems with weight, now I'm struggling with my weight even more-can hardly move, breath and feel virtually housebound.I'm on Bp meds and furusomide(asthma meds too). I've not been referred to a Heart specialist or have any 'Heart' meds-is this the norm?I'm confused and struggling.

Hello

Just a question who diagnosed your Heart Failure ??

I think it's normally done by Cardiology after an Echocardiogram when they may give you an Ejection Fraction percentage. NICE guidelines do indicate that if you are diagnosed you should come under a Heart Failure Clinic/Nurse. A little more information may help people to respond.

Regards

I found out I had heart failure in April and I have copd and was admitted to hospital I seen a consultant and she was lovely she told me what I can do and cant do she changed a lot of my meds for my copd because they would not help my heart failure because heart failure can only be controlled by medication she put me on lots of different medications she explained about pitting my feet that means if you think you're feet look swollen press them lightly for a few seconds and as I call it if a little dimple appears you need to keep looking because it could be your starting to have trouble with your heart go see your doctor and TELL him you want to be referred to a cardiologist asap I hope this helps
