I posted on here yesterday saying I was having breathing issues (one stent fitted in March) and a slight niggling pain in the chest. Listened to advice and went to A&E. 7 hours later, ECG and lots of blood taken, resulting in the heart being fine. Good news. However, (and I promise I am a very pragmatic person and my wife will confirm , I am not a hypochondriac) my breathing is still not great this morning and the niggle is still there. Why? They took a chest x-ray and whilst the junior doctor thought it was clear she is going to get a Senior to look at it today. So, the conundrum is: do I want it to be something (and hope it's nothing serious) or to be clear and hope whatever it is settles down soon. Ces la vie.

A conundrum
Some medications can cause breathlessness. I was very bad on Atorvastatin. I’m no longer taking statins but get slight breathlessness at times.
Thank you Maisie2014. I thought about the meds and when I mentioned it to the Dr (specifically Clopidogrel) he said I should be on that for a year after my HA) however, I might go back with this as also on Atorvastatin. But I've been on both for 8 months and haven't had this problem before. I've taken the decision to not go into work this week, will take it easy then if it's not improved will go back to him. Thank you again.
After having a stent done in July I was put on clopidogrel and now been put on verapamil ,,, first few weeks I felt great after stent fitted , but after change of meds I have terrible breathing issues & lack of energy ,sleeping a lot , I do have asthma not helping it ,,, but I think these meds have not helped me ,,, seeing cardio soon see what’s happening ,,, I also have AF ,but that’s been ok up till new meds now having daily issues ,,,hope you get yours sorted soon ,
Thank you Trucker Clark. I think the regular bouts of fatigue I've had since the event have been the hardest to accept (until now) but I always console myself with, it's better to be tired than the alternative! Good luck and get well soon.
Hello Allan - certainly don't think you are a hypochondriac. Good to know your recent tests were normal but frustrating that you continue to feel breathless. Until you can establish a reason thought you may find the attached link useful - it may break the pattern of the episodes or at least give you some relief. healthline.com/health/home-...
