Hi

Not sure but since I have been on Entresto my Heart beats have been a lot more steady. My consultant had me down as having a High Burden of ectopic beats but they have settled since being on entresto !! on Aspirin Bisoprolol Eplenerone and entresto

Hi prada47 just wondering if your cardiologist mentioned any other treatment like ablation. Take carexxx

Hi Christina

Yes Ablation has been talked about along with a Pacemaker but my actual pacing is quite good at the moment so Cardiologist has asked Heart Failure Nurse to get me up to the maximum Entresto. I am on 7.5 mg Bisoprolol been up to 10mg but HR was then to slow at 33 BPM and BP 90/60 so dropped back to 7.5mg.

What shows on my ECG is a widening QRS which they keep an eye on because I believe that is what may lead to a Pacemaker.

EF is variable been low to 27 % and back up to 43 % I think NYHA is class 2 .

I have been admitted to Cardiology with Ectopic Beats ratio 1/1 1/2 1/3 i.e. 1 ectopic every 3 beats which was causing a shortness of breath when they became an ectopic every beat.

I have had by pass surgery to 3 arteries and stents to one of the by passed arteries LAD my Right Coronary artery is 100 % blocked so not worth the risk to try to open it.

Overall I believe I am in pretty good shape I just keep popping the pills as instructed.

Hope that picture of my heart journey helps.

Best Regards

Just checked Report again VEs total was 7 %

Thank you for passing that on, I’ve had extra beats nearly everyday day for over 30 years plus fluttering where my heart feels like it’s stopping and iam going to faint, I’ve been back to hospitals with all this , but they say it’s not dangerous , but I feel like I should be on blood thinner because of AF !!

I went in for ablation. But they couldn’t bring on the exotic beats so had to leave it 😬 I will mention entresto to the consultant as iam going back to Barts in January as iam so fed up ...

Hi Deary63,

I have ventricular ectopics too.

They can be very scary at times, but my Cardiologist doesn't seem too bothered by them either as they are apparently quite common.

Have you had a mobile heart monitor fitted yet to see how your heart is functioning over 24/48 hours?

If not, it may be worth asking for it.

Take care,

Nicola x

Hi thank you for your message , well quite a few years ago I had the reveal devise fitted above my chest for a year, they didn’t find much going on at the time only AF , so I was sent for an Ablation at Barts , but they couldn’t trigger the AF to find where it was coming from in my heart , which was annoying ...so I’ve just plodded along having bad days for the last 30 odd years ..😬 Going back to Barts in January as I’ve been having some really bad days ....

All the best to you also ..

Hi deary 63 your post gives me reassurance a least I am not going to die from extra heart beats .Do you know what % you have my is classed severe 21% and my cardiologist says we need to stop them so on bisoprol trying to increase up to 10mg I don’t have any symptoms They where picked up when I went to my GP with a bad virus (coughing) my HR was 40. Apparently if bisoprol don’t get rid of them he is going to refer me to a electrophysiology Take care xxx

Hi Christina , Consultant has never mention % ... I was given a beta blocker when I first noticed them at 30..but they made them worse so was taken off...all I kept being told there not dangerous, but when it’s day and night 24/7 it was so upsetting never getting to the bottom of it..but yes iam coming up to 67 now so still here 😊..they have got worse the last few years so I really need them to have a good look at me again...feeling tired a lot too .

Iam under arrhythmia clinic at Barts ..which that’s where you will be sent too...best place ..all best to you and thank you for your message .

Hi Deary

Yeah I’ve lived with them most of my life. I’ve gone through periods ( sometimes months ) when I’ve not had them. About 8 years ago I was learning a new job , was stressed at work and at the same time was threatened violently by my partners next door neighbour which left me pretty shaken. The palpitations kicked in for a week. They were the worst I’d had and I eventually went to the doctor explained my situation and they put me on propanalol 10 mg twice a day. Last year I had spike in blood pressure ( stress related )and they put me on blood pressure medication. Now I know this is a long post but it’s basically to put your mind at rest hah! I’ve had 24 hour monitors and some 25 years ago saw a heart specialist who assured me that there was nothing to worry about. I used to run ( great north run 3 times ) and time trial on cycle! I still excercise 1 hour a day on turbo and do body weight routine for 1/2 hour several times a week. August this year my son and I cycled Box Hill in Surrey. I get the bloody fluttering still and hate it so completely understand why you’ve posted but if you’ve been told you are ok,try ( it’s not easy in the middle of the fluttering ) but try to believe what you’ve been told. Oh by the way, tea and coffee can be contributors to heart palpitations but I believe that pangs of anxiety are also a major factor.

Hope I haven’t bored you and try to stop worrying
