I have mild angina, that I have a GTN Spray for. I would normally take 75mg aspirin daily, but, at present, I'm recovering from a hip replacement and have been told to take Rivaroxaban 10mg daily. Question is, is it safe to use GTN Spray and Rivaroxaban together?
The Rivaroxaban initially gave me extensive bruising down the inside of the leg that was operated on, although this bruising has now cleared up. I've been taking Rivaroxaban for three weeks now and still have twelve days left to take.
I'm fairly frequently getting chest pain from, what I believe to be, angina, but I'm scared to use the GTN Spray, in case it interacts with Rivaroxaban.
Advise would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum Blakey! I am not aware of any interaction. The best thing would be to check with your pharmacist in the morning as they tend to be better on interactions than GPs as they deal with them daily.
Hi. I’ve been taking the two alongside, for over 6 months, needing a GTN spray once or twice a month. My Cardiologist is pretty thorough, on interactions, and always advises me to try to keep angina to the minimum, if possible, but I’m sure it’s much better to check for yourself, as others here advise.
