I was diagnosed with angina 2 years ago after angiogram showed mild atheroma on 2 arteries. Also have costochondritis. Only prescribed aspirin and ranitidine as statin makes costochondritis worse. Keep having hot flushes everyday but not sure if it’s to do with costochondritis or angina. Does anyone else suffer with these?

Hot flushes
Wish I could help.Been having the same problem myself for the last 18 months.Unlikely to be meds as I`ve been on the same ones for 10 or 11 years.Having a yearly review at GPs and due for replacement PM this month so will ask questions, hopefully this time I might get some answers. Will let you know.
If you’re female and of the right age, menopause?
Been through that a few years ago.
Ahem (such a delicate topic) - I went through the change nearly 20 years ago (early onset, I have PCOS). Now in my early 60s, about a year ago I started having the same sort of hot flashes I had during the change. Just exactly like, actually. I was lucky when I was going through it that the hot flashes for me just weren't that bad but the flashes were noticeable and feeling them again so long after the change kinda threw me.
My GP assures me it's not unusual for a post-menopausal women to get the occasional hot flash, it's not my heart meds, and as long as my smears and other checks continue to come back 'clear', she said not to worry.
Still, some medications do cause 'flushing' (aspirin can for those who are or develop a sensitivity) and it can also be from other conditions, so it's really best to talk to your GP as soon as possible.
