Hot flushes

I was diagnosed with angina 2 years ago after angiogram showed mild atheroma on 2 arteries. Also have costochondritis. Only prescribed aspirin and ranitidine as statin makes costochondritis worse. Keep having hot flushes everyday but not sure if it’s to do with costochondritis or angina. Does anyone else suffer with these?

Ahem (such a delicate topic) - I went through the change nearly 20 years ago (early onset, I have PCOS). Now in my early 60s, about a year ago I started having the same sort of hot flashes I had during the change. Just exactly like, actually. I was lucky when I was going through it that the hot flashes for me just weren't that bad but the flashes were noticeable and feeling them again so long after the change kinda threw me.

My GP assures me it's not unusual for a post-menopausal women to get the occasional hot flash, it's not my heart meds, and as long as my smears and other checks continue to come back 'clear', she said not to worry.

Still, some medications do cause 'flushing' (aspirin can for those who are or develop a sensitivity) and it can also be from other conditions, so it's really best to talk to your GP as soon as possible.
