Every since my HA (6 months ago) I have suffered mild heart/chest pain from time to time, but every day and for many months I have been getting relief by releasing trapped esophagus wind. I do it by chewing gum, walking, upper body exercises, ginger tea and getting my wife to burp me, or a combination of two or more of these.
I know many others have understandably complained about chest pain, but has anyone else connected the two, either with wind or gastric reflux?

And me but my doc has stopped Adcal and I have less now. In my case it was a side effect of the Adcal
I have to say I expecetd a much greater response, pretty much everyone on this forum has had heart pain and much of it related to wind and acid reflux. Seems I was wrong.
They changed my antacid meds for a stonger and more compatible one, didn't make much difference. The other problem is the body changes as time passes after a HA, my diet changes, levels and methods of exercise change, attitude, levels of fear and stress and so on. So if things are improving I may not know the cause, but should be happy.
I think there is some link - although not severe wind - since last ablation I tend to get days when I notice I burp a lot - previously it tended to go the other direction. Sometimes the burping 'attack' follows chest pain, ectopics and /or raised heart beat. Not always though (unless it is to a less noticeable level)
How is the medical services over there? I go thai eery year. I hae lived there. My wife is Thai. I stayed in ubon province. I want to keep going to Thai athouh I have a triple cabbage in front of me. Mahol
Well I am lucky I live only a few km from Khon Kaen's main Heart Hospital, with a big sign up on the main Mittaparp road (highway2) and they put in the stents and all went well, although bloody uncomforatble the 2nd procedure.
I was lucky too that I had some cash in the bank I could access. They wanted £9,000 in all, "money or your life" i guess? I replied "my life I am saving up".....
Private hospitals are generally good as they attract the best doctors and are jam packed with nurses. You don't wait very long, example:-
A few years back I had a lump on my neck and over the years it had grown to the size of a golfball, looked really unsightly, so I went it to ask. "Would you like it removed?", "yes" "Now?", "ok" 1/2hour, a snip and a few stitches later it was gone, 100% pain free. A week after that couldn't see any scar. £120.
A year later had a big mole removed from my back, exactly the same but only £90, they did biopsies in both cases.
So I guess I cant complain.
The drugs they gave me after the stents were standard and since then I have only changed my antiacid.
