Hi Rob. These look good to me. Your HbA1c is the one fourth from the bottom. At 37 thatโ€™s perfectly acceptable. 40 is pre-diabetic. Youโ€™d need to talk to a medical specialist for the finer detail but your HDL and LDL are roughly speaking the same as mine and Iโ€™m pretty happy with where they are.

Agree with Steve. Your blood glucose is also very good and in fact makes me wonder if it was a fasting test?

Nope Just a bloody good look at my diet Michael lol..I've changed it considerably since last year and was hoping it would be better.

Mind you Mr cummings says that we shouldn't take too much notice of the HbA1c test as often people are too far down the line by the time they take that test and we should be asking for the HOMA test?as it's more accurate. I didn't fast before the bloody test and it was in the morning about 9.30 after a small breakfast. I just don't need Diabetes on top of heart disease and microvascular angina Michael .And that's pretty much why I wanted the test.

Your HbA1c test is good so nothing to worry about. Just stick to a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Thank you Michael

I'm trying

But the odd bit of cake sneaks in now and then...oops!!!

MichaelJH profile image
MichaelJHHeart Star in reply to Rob6868

With the figures you have given the odd slice of say lemon drizzle (one without icing) should be fine. Black Forest Gateaux less so for both carbs and fats! Or you could roll your own as they say!

You've nailed it Michael and you have psychic powers ๐Ÿ˜Because lemon drizzle is my favourite and has been since I was a kid.And your right on it with the icing because I hate it and always scrap it off๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚

I have not studied your post in detail but I gather you are worried about blood sugar levels, why are you even thinking about eating cake???? I used to like Pork chops and steak and cream scones but since nearly dying I have not been near them with a barge pole. Just sack it off and stick to healthy options.

Do you think it's down to following what Mr cummings advocates? Or that we are just cleverer lol

I really don't want to start another Ivor Cummings debate off again ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Adaboo in reply to Rob6868

Oh lord nor do I, itโ€™s definitely down to diet because Iโ€™d tried everything else, so basically I believe so ๐Ÿ˜
