Thank you to all who replied to my Question Re Apixaban and eye bleeds.
I saw my GP this morning and he has reduced my Apixaban to 2,5 mgs twice a day,
I did start on 2.5 Apixaban when I was taken off Rivaroxban [which made my gums and nose bleed,] but the Cardio wrote back to my Dr. saying 2,5 wasn't enough and to put me on 5mgs twice a day, but seems 5mgs is too much for me.
My Dr. is writing back to the Cardiologist telling him he's put me back on 2.5mg due to the eye bleed , so I await to see what or if the cardio says it's not enough. I do have a mitral valve leak, A F I also had 3 coronary stents last year. It's a worry for me as I don't want a stroke so I need to take these tablets.
I hope all that made sense
Thanks bowler

Glad to hear it was nothing too serious. If anybody has a similar issue another option is to go to your optician as you will probably be seen within 30 minutes.
I imagine you are probably familiar with the process but for those who are not besides Visual Acuity you should also have a Field of Vision test. A friend had a TIA and it left him with a small blind spot in one eye. If you did not notice an increase in floaters it is unlikely you had a bleed from the retina.
