Hi all just come back from cardio consultant lovely guy said I had 20% ectopic beats which is a lot there apparently benign. He has put me on beta blockers get my prescription in the morning and he wants me to build up to the highest dosage I am able to tolerate. He has made me an appointment for 3 months see if they have made a difference I suppose. Things I forgot to ask are you on them for life any one been down this road. Take care all xxx

Hi again I forgot to say the consultant thought the problem with the ectopic beats was caused by a virus infection I had which gave me an awful cough I said I didn’t think a virus could affect your heart He said a virus can affect any part of your body. Take care all xxx
