What do you want? ( really, really want)

So Hearties, coffee break question.

If you had a perfect 3D printer, what would you print?

You can’t have spare parts for your heart or a gardener, they’ve already been taken.

So what would you like?😀

Teeth, as previously mentioned. Left hip and right knee please. I suspect the left knee may be added to the list at some stage. Makes me sound like a restoration project! 😁

I can recommend replacement knees😁. Mine is all titanium and chrome vanadium, with a bit of printed ceramic. What with the stents, I’m worth more in scrap metal than anything else😂

My orthopaedic surgeon told me the scrap value of my leg is higher than that of my car including the catalytic converter. They run a magnet over the ashes after cremation to collect these bits. I picked this factoid when I had an interview to become a p/t hearse driver.

None of mine is magnetic. I tried a fridge magnet, which would have been really cool😂

Titanium is weakly magnetic and chrome vanadium more strongly. I would keep away from the big electro magnets in car scrap yards. You would probably be OK but not worth the risk!

Really? They weren’t bothered in my MRI this week.

Obviously I need to get stronger fridge magnets😁

They were not bothered when they did an MRI to check the PAD. The only problem is the image is less clear but they could see the restriction in the femoral artery. The titanium plating is on the femur - shades of sill replacement on MGBs and Escorts!

Hope that doesn’t mean my wings will rust and my trim fall off, although I suspect I already have a dodgy exhaust- that might be the meds though 😂

We should ask Mick and Ronnie for their secret. I thought beta blockers promote hair growth but my trials prove this is Dr Goggle rubbish!

I’ve given up on top of my head, but I’ve got a pretty good beard instead. Now if I can just learn to stand on my head.....

I worked alongside a famous old rocker with equally famous hair for a while, his secret was easy- he took it off and hung it on a hook when the public had left😅 ( it was neither of these two...)

Gene Simmons?

Ha, no, and I genuinely can’t say.

No worries! I know of a famous person with PAD but would never say (same scanner). The behaviour of the journalists in telling Gareth Thomas's parents was disgusting! ☹️

I totally understand wanting to keep PAD and all other medical history private. My mum doesn’t know I have it.

It is so frustrating that it seems to take a famous person to declare their illness to really raise awareness and funds. There’s so much we can do if only we know we have PAD and the earlier the better.

But in today’s world if it’s not celeb led there’s less likelihood of a headline.

I would expect nothing less of Hector's dad Priam!

Could I have height? Not really a "part but it's not much fun being 5ft 1 & a 1/2ins. That 1/2in really matters!!
