Here we go again

Hello all, I had my last angioplasty in February 2019 and was told it was going to be either 3 stents in the one artery or a large stent (they went for the larger stent. I have 3 arteries stented (one of them was resented 6 months later), I was told after the last stent in February that I have a few of the little branches were blocked but couldn’t be stented. Well in May it all started again the Angina was back quite mildly at first but then at cardio rehab it was quite clear that things weren’t right so I have my next Angiogram on the 26th September 2019. Strangely after having 4 Angiograms/Angioplasty I am still very nervous about it. It just seems that the past 3 years have been controlled by my heart disease so hoping this time it will get sorted. I don’t smoke I do have 1/2 glasses of white wine a week when we go out to dinner, my diet I believe is a healthy one. Lots of fruit and veg and mostly chicken and fish. I do have a chilli or spaghetti Bol once a month but often I make that with turkey mince or quorn. Hope all this makes sense? Sorry for the long post but had to get things off my chest.

Joan x

Thank you Gunsmoke123, I know you are right and I am in very good hands. I will report back when I have the Angiogram results.

I had angiogram in April 19 after angina. It was 10 years since previous angiogram and up till April controlled with medication diet and exercise. This year after half an hour surgeon said I needed two stents. So two hours later all finished, full of relaxants and a bit woosey! I thought, (was lead to believe) I would be up and running about soon. The angina still seemed to be there, I felt worse than before, I felt very anxious. After 2 months, tablets and exercise at cardio rehab (which had not been automatically offered), gained much more confidence and no more angina! I found it difficult to access support but persevered and got it!

You seem to be doing all the right things, it's not really surprising you feel anxious. Can you speak to the cardio staff to give you some further information and knowledge? It's important to keep up your care programme, remember you will always have a cardiac condition, but symptoms take time to improve, everyone is different.

Not what you're looking for?
