Lady's Operation

Just an update on Lady. She had her op 2 weeks ago, she has a huge scar but after a couple of days in ICU, she came home with a slight limp which soon went. I bought her a doughnut attachment for her collar which seemed to do the trick of preventing her from getting to the wound and was far less dangerous than the traditional hard cone which usually caused us severe bruising! We took her back for a checkup this morning. She had a Phaeochromocytoma, the biopsy said it was enclosed and that she should have no further problems, it's very unlikely that it has spread. Prof Williams is very pleased with her and is 99% sure that she will be fine. She jumped up on a chair in front of him, he said you've had a major operation young lady you shouldn't be jumping but he said it was okay as she seems lively enough. Thank you all for your good wishes and we can breathe again!!!

Thank you Judes, she's such a loveable dog, she thinks everyone loves her and wants a fuss made all the time.

Glad to hear it is all going well! With a big scar I think she should become an honorary member of the forum's Zipper Club! 🐕

Yes it's over 12 inches which is a lot for a wee King Charles Cavalier
