A WOMAN was flying from Melbourne to Brisbane. Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sydney. The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, hence if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft they could re-board in 50 minutes. Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind.

A man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her Seeing Eye Dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight.

He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, 'Kathy, we are in Sydney for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?'

The blind lady replied, 'No thanks, but maybe Max would Like to stretch his legs.'

Picture this:

All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses.

People scattered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

True story...

Have a great day and remember...

...THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.

A DAY WITHOUT LAUGHTER IS A DAY WASTED!!!

Don't worry, most of us realised it was a joke as soon as we saw "True Story". It gave me the best laugh I've had for a while. 😂

People pointing out that this is an urban myth. It ought to be true, and is more accurate than the outpourings of the UK government.

My husband used to work in an airport departure bar (I'm talking 1970s) . A friend of his who also worked at the airport as ground crew used to regularly pretend to be a drunk Captain to see what reaction it would get. Their uniform was similar to flight crew and his impression of a drunk was very good. Funny for those in the know!

Scdlinks. Looking at your Bio can tell us something about yourself. Age ? Male or female ? Heart condition? Maybe even a general personal life story. This would give us a better understanding of your replies. Which seem a bit negative and short sharp rebukes. Or are you just following our heart forum thru boredom?

In general we are a very helpful bunch and give encouragement and positive feedback

My point is not many I know would fact check a joke or humorous story. Regarding your bio. What you have replied is what most would put on their bio. Sex and age help people understand your experience in replies.

And as you have never posted it is impossible to know your area of interest on this forum

At a guess most knew it was not fact but a humorous look at life from a different angle. All our situations are fraught with being anxious, For once their was light relief and made us smile.

Just out of interest how was your mild non ST elevation heart attack diagnosed?

A person's sex is very relevant in Cardiology.

Women present with different symptoms and types of heart disease.

Also biomarkers such as troponin blood levels are different in women.

Recent research has also suggested that the GRACE risk scoring system disadvantages people from ethnic minorities and women.

Thanks milk fairy for info re troponin levels. I was unaware that there was a gender differential re troponin levels although aware of the other differences in heart attack symptoms. Hope you're managing alright in this very hot weather.

It helps to give the forum members context to your responses

Recently there was a forum member who had a habit of deleting all their responses. This made it challenging for the other forum members to keep tract of the thread.

Many forum members find it helpful for abbreviations to be explained in full. Not everyone understands the abbreviations below.

CACT

PTCA
