My dad has extremes of blood pressure raging from dangerously high to unbelievably low. Severe dizziness and shaking. Familiar to anyone?

Has had pacemaker fitted for blunted heart rate but this hasn’t stopped the blood pressure problems or the dizziness. Nobody seems to know what could be causing it or how to treat him. Getting worse and don’t know where to turn.

If you google 'hypertension centre" for one near you ask your GP to refer him. They are attached to kidney units at major hospitals.

Thank you. Going to hospital soon so I’ll mention to the staff. I’ve been researching all night and perhaps kidney tests may be useful as he has problems with urinating .... I didn’t realise before that kidneys have an important part to play in blood pressure regulation.

With me they did a head and a kidney MRI plus a lot of other tests. As the consultant said... Cardiologists are very clever people and do things that I cannot do but they don't understand hypertension like I do. GP's understand it even less.
