Odd question - Now stabilized with 3 stents and no problems, does this technically mean that I no longer have Ischemic Heart Disease any more? I have never had a heart attack and I'm told my heart is not damaged in any way - just had blocked arteries.

No! You have CHD and the most seriously affected arteries have been treated by stenting. You need to make the lifestyle changes and take medication as prescribed. The aim is to stop the progression of the disease. Failure to do so could result in further stents, a bypass or the worse case scenario!

Thanks for your quick reply. I fully agree with your comments and I am taking the meds. and the appropriate actions to ensure the best of outcomes. Perhaps I should have worded it differently. I was kind of meaning, would I need to declare this information on application forms and the such like, if it is a "managed" condition.

As a lifelong Type I diabetic I know where you are coming from. My basic premise was be honest if asked but don't volunteer information. For my first real job they arranged a full medical and gave me the job. In fact they were very supportive and employed a full time nurse who you could refer to in confidence. My next job never asked and seemed a bit put out when they found out. However, I was there for seventeen years! Just do not lie as they can then legally sack you without notice!

I get the drift . . . Me also T1 30 year insulin dependent diabetic. This I do refer to as I'm somewhat unstable, so think it's only right for others to be fore-warned as the occasional hypo's does a darn good job of imitating an un-coordinated intoxicated woman !

Thanks for your sound replies.
