Oedema in legs

I have oedema in my legs need lots of help.My legs were leaking yesterday but much improved by keeping legs up. The biggest problem now is extreme pain in lower legs. How can I stop the pain? The only painkillers I have are Cocodamol 500 and 8 codeine. I am on Bisoprolol and apaxiban both twice a day.

You should see your doctor about this, not put up with it.

You definitely need to see your GP as fluid leaking from your legs is not good. Are you taking any other drugs or suffering from other conditions such as diabetes. I would think (but bear in mind I am not medically qualified) that a diuretic, such as Furosemide, might be appropriate. If the leakage gets worse ring 111 as a short spell in hospital might be appropriate. Above all take precautions against infection as the damp warm environment this is causing would cause it to spread rapidly!

I endorse what others say. The fluid needs to be removed either by medication at home or intravenous in hospital. It only took 2 days for them to give me relief in hospital with furusemide intravenously. And they pain went. You will not get relief from the pain while you have fluid in your legs so please see someone quickly.
