Pacemaker with high bp
Hello and welcome to the forum! The first thing to point out is that we are a UK based support group for those with cardiac issues. However, forum members are welcome from anywhere in the world. Being a support group no member can act like a consulting room and give you a second opinion. Is there another doctor/cardiologist you can see?
Your particular drugs are:-
i) A beta-blocker that slows the heart, reduces blood pressure (BP) and also reduces symptoms of angina.
ii) A statin to reduce cholesterol and irritation within the blood vessels to prevent any further plaque build up. Their effect can be negated if you do not make dietary changes. Check out the information on the BHF website. The consumption of ghee should be negligible.
iii) A drug to protect your stomach and reduce reflux. This is commonly prescribed with heart medications which may cause issues. Overly spicy foods are best avoided.
This combination of drugs is not uncommon. Why are you concerned over it?
Have you made any lifestyle changes to bring down your blood pressure?
