I had a triple bypass two and a half years ago...went well but have had some complications...I smoked for 36 years...give up three years ago...but have put a bit of weight on...I still get quite breathless..no more angina !! I have a mobility issues due to an accident some years ago which doesn't help my cause..not been lucky..still plodding on.

Get creative, as it sounds like you are ready to increase your activity in some way that suits you. I’ve had to do lots of trial and error to find things that suit. Swimming? Water aerobics? Pilates? All might suit your mobility issues. But eating better and less seems to be the best and quickest way to lose weight.

For your fitness, as you can't run about, you could give Shibashi a try. You don't have to go out, it's very gentle and easy to learn. It takes about 20 minutes. Just follow the video: youtube.com/watch?reload=9&... I play it on YouTube via Google on my PC and "cast" it to the TV in the lounge to follow it. "Trust Me I'm A Doctor" found that it gave a good workout without strain or pain. My tutor says it can be done every day.
