Loop Recorder
hi m-o-ggy i have one fitted. it’s like an ecg in your chest that continually records electrical activity in your heart. you get a hand device which you hold over device when you get symptoms (whatever your particular problem is)and it marks tape so technician can see what heart was doing before during and after episodes. it’s i very small device. mine is in my breast. piece of cake getting it fitted hope this helps❤️shiona
How long have you had it?
hi. iv had it in since december last year. hasn’t shown anything yet. but don’t worry about it. you don’t even know it’s there. i was like you and came on here all worried and our wonderful hearties told me what i’m telling you and i probably still had worries but honestly i never experienced any pain not even after the freezing agent wore off. good luck❤️
An implantable loop recorder is a small device, about the size of a memory stick, which is implanted under the skin on your chest, the process takes 15 minutes approx. Once implanted the device records the electrical impulses of your heart and transmits them automatically to hospital by using transmission monitor connected via wireless (4G) technology. All you need to do is keep the transmission monitor given to you beside your bed. Transmissions occur while you're asleep. Like Shoshov said you are also given a handheld device to activate the recording when needed, hospital will explain the process in detail to you.
